Christmas Break

Hey everyone! I am taking some time off for the holiday season....my time will be spent spoiling my little boy and actually having a social life! I have been super busy with the business lately, and I really need some time away from my computer--or at least work related computing!

Adam and I are heading to Dallas on Thursday and will not be back til Sunday. And then I am going to try and keep my computer and email turned off until January 2nd--other than blogging Jackson's pics from Christmas. So if you need to contact me, please leave me an email and I will get back to you ASAP when I open it back up on January 2nd. Until then, have a GREAT holiday and enjoy your families--I know I am going to!

I would also like to thank you all from the bottom of my heart for such an amazing year of photography!! See you in 2007!!

Karl + Nichole

I have known Karl and Nichole since we first moved to Texas, almost 7 years ago. They moved in next door right after we did, and they've been like family ever since...they were there when Adam and I got engaged, Karl catered our wedding, they were at our party when we announced our pregnancy, they swam with me during the entire pregnancy, and now they are honerary Uncle Karl and Aunt Nichole to my son. My mom and Karl are the best of friends (they gossip more than two teenagers, it's hillarious!) We have been part of each other's lives for so long that we know too much about each other--seriously! So when Karl told us he was going to marry Nichole (after being together for nearly 9 years) we were thrilled!! They wanted a simple wedding, with their kids, at the courthouse, in jeans....yeah right! Do you know who you live next door to?! Ha!

The night before their big day, it was cold, and Karl came over to ask to borrow our wreath (the one that hangs outside on the front of the house!). So Mom and I went over and helped decorate the "alter". Simple cake and champagne--yeah right. You need a wedding cake, wedding napkins, and the champagne flutes left over from my wedding...and you need candles, music, an aisle to walk through, music.....

It was beautiful! Everyone arrived at the house, while Jim Brickman played in the background. Nichole wore a GORGEOUS gown she had been eyeing for weeks. She walked down the stairs and through the foyer to Karl to The Gift by Jim Brickman. The JP was super sweet--although I had never shot a ceremony that was so quick, but Nichole made it super special by suprising Karl with a song she sang, No Place that Far by Sara Evans. I cried....It was beautiful! And did I mention the cake was fantastic! (I love cakes from Randals...soooo goooooood!

I am so happy for these two! They are such a fun couple and I love them so much! Here are some of my favs from their special day (did I mention they honeymooned in Vegas, and my parents tagged along--long story, but they like to travel together--Karl and Nichole tagged along on Mom and Dad's 25th Anniversary trip to the Bahamas, so it only seemed appropriate!)

Here is the newest member of the Babcock family: Austin Clinton Babcock
These are some shots at the hospital...they said he came out screaming! He is so precious, but watch out, he has a big sister to compete with!

Grace + Allie Rose

These two girls are growing so fast! I took Grace's pictures for the first time when she was about 14 months....then again when Allie Rose came along and she was 4 months...then when their cousin Bella Skye came along, I got to see them again, and now, Grace is almost 5 and Allie Rose is 14 months! Time flies! They are so sweet--and so active! My goodness, it's hard to catch them posing! Here is my favorite "collage" that I created for a possible Christmas card ( I couldn't get a great shot of the two girls together, so this is what I came up with, and I LOVE it!)

Danny + Wendy

Danny & Wendy were married on November 18th--it was a beautiful day and an amazing wedding! I absoultely love this couple and I know that they will have an amazing marriage and life together! Not only did I love them, but I loved their wedding party---especially the MOH Kristy, who told me that her and Wendy were both hoping they would be married this year, and when Wendy got engaged and Kristy didn't have boyfriend, she said " I guess you can have this year, I'll take 2008!" (And she caught the bouquet!) Ha! It still cracks me up thinking about it! And other than the "falling in the mud" incident (see Jackson's blog for that story) the wedding was perfect--I cried through most of this one which made it difficult to take some of the pictures! Wendy's grandmother loaned her her wedding ring (her something borrowed)--it was gorgeous...and a very touching moment between the two that made me choke up. Her something blue were her cute baby blue shoes! I loved em! Here are some of my favs from that special day:

Wendy Bain Bridal

I can FINALLY post my images from a bridal shoot I did back in September! This one was so much fun! Wendy married Danny a few weekends ago, but before the big day, we got to shoot her bridals at none other than A&M! Danny is an Aggie--one of the biggest Aggies I have ever met! He was also an umpire at Kyle Field (hence his son's name--Kyler!) So we got all dressed up and headed to the ball park for some pictures in a wedding gown! (Yes, we got stared at! Did I mention that there was a practice game in progress when we made our debut in the stands!) Here are my favs from that day:

Stowe Family

Years ago, I happened into a class called Entrepreneurship (the best class I ever took at SHSU) and met a man named Dr. Charles R.B. Stowe. In class one night, he asked if anyone would be interested in working for him and his family as a nanny/housekeeper. Of course, I volunteered, and the rest is history! I fell in love with this family, Laura, Chuck, and little Charlie. I was a nanny for Charlie for almost 2 years (being with him almost every day!), and in that time, I learned so much about being a "mommy" that it prepared me for my own little man! I have watched Charlie grow from a cautious 3 year old, to an artistic 8 year old and I cherish every moment that I had with him. Adam and I took Jackson to Huntsville on Sunday to see them before Christmas and take their annual Christmas card photo. Here are some of my favorites from the wonderful afternoon:

Delaney West Baptism

After a really long weekend, I got to photograph an amazing event--the baptism of Miss Delaney Isabel West. St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Church in The Woodlands is a gorgeous church, and afterward, the dinner at Perry's Steakhouse was intimate and perfect...the room was so full of love for this little princess! And I was actually EXTREMELY jealous of this little beauty when she opened a gift from her godfather....a baby-size strand of Mikimoto pearls! God has blessed her with an amazing family, and them the same. She is a very lucky little girl to have such amazing parents and I wish them all the best! God Bless!
