Wine, Chocolate, Friendship

Delaney Isabel West

For my birthday, a friend of mine got me a note pad set that said "Wine, Chocolate, Friendship". I stare at it every day as it sits on my desk right next to my computer, and everyday I think "what more could a girl ask for". So I decided to throw a party with the same theme. Everyone brought a bottle of wine, I baked (yes, I bake) TONS of chocolate goodies (Scooby Snakes, Double Chocolate Cake, Fudge Brownies, Fudge Muffins, and strawberry and marshmellow covered chocolate kabobs), and we sat around playing with babies, gossiping, talking about how great our lives are, how sucky our lives are, and things we want in the future. Everything from houses, to sex lives, to cheerleading (did I mention 2 of my best friends are Texan cheerleaders? Yes, they are both GORGEOUS!), to halloween costumes. It was a lot of fun...something that (aside from my great suprise birthday party a few weeks ago) it was the most relaxing, intimate get together I had been part of in a long time. My closest friends were there...Malee, Lindsey, Rachel, Elizabeth, Courtney. Courtney brought her little girl Delaney (who was born the same day as Jackson, just 6 hours earlier!), who was super tired and slept through all the loud laughter and chit chat! Jackson debuted his halloween costume--it was a hoot! He LOVES the hat, and could possibly have worn it all night. And despite seeing Delaney's angel-like behavior, Jackson refused to go to sleep and partied all night with us. The wine flowed, the boys played poker in the garage, Adam lit a fire (finally) in our copper firepit that we got last year for Christmas....it was so relaxing and fun. We have to do it again soon!

We had a great time at your beautiful house eating those delicious chocolate treats and being entertained by what had to be the most precious lion ever.
